Religious life is per se a special state of grace to which not all are called. Much of what Vatican II said as regards that way of life as also concerning various other matters remains shrouded in mystery and thus unknown to many. This book proposes to be a voice in the wilderness in terms of clearing the confusion prevailing specifically as regards the Consecrated Life. Religious will find herein a modern understanding of an ancient calling which the Church encourages and promotes with a view to enriching the life of the Church itself This book strikes a perfect balance between the two trends of thought in the Catholic Church, viz., the conservative and the liberal, both of which in some way represent the authentic Christian spirit when they are loyal, faithful and obedient.
