The Song of Songs is Canticle of Love between Christ and the Church. It is the Wedding Song of the Church’s and the Christian’s mystical union with Christ. It is written in the manner of an allegory. This book of the Old Testament pre-announces the mystery of Christ’s spiritual nuptial union with the Church and the individual Christian; but it is written in a veiled language. In this book the author drawing upon the constant tradition of Israel and the writings of the Fathers of the Church as well as modern authors, tries to reveal this mystery and makes it accessible to all. Every disciple of Christ is challenged to respond to this invitation of Christ and experience this spiritual nuptial union and intimacy with Christ.
