First Religious Profession, Renewal of Vows and Acolyte
With grateful hearts for the Pauline vocation and an unwavering zeal for the apostolate, in the spirit of brotherhood and unity in prayer, six novices made their first religious profession, eleven juniors renewed their vows, and Brother Onuoha Sixtus was elevated to the minor order of Acolyte in the community of Ikot-Ekpene on September 8, 2025. This memorable celebration began with the Holy Mass, graced by Pauline priests and brothers, as well as families, friends, members of the parish community, and well-wishers. The Regional Superior, Very Rev. Joseph Kandachamkunnel, who presided over the Mass and received the vows, delivered a profound homily in which he reminded the brothers that they have been set apart and consecrated, a call to continual renewal in holiness. He emphasised that the cassock is an exterior sign of interior purity and should therefore constantly remind them to live and lead holy lives. He then entrusted them to the maternal care of Mary, Queen of Apostles, praying that she may help them live in accordance with their commitment. The celebration concluded in an atmosphere of great joy, with congratulations echoing from every corner.
